A challenge to you clever guys :-) A simple chart to monitor racing time

4 boats are racing on 9 different lanes with different lenghts.

For each lane every boat has a specific theoretic racing time depending on 3 different wind forces.

I would like to create a simple dashboard showing how the boats should perform.

[pre]
Code:
Boats Lane No.	Lane length	Lane Type Wind force
nm knots
Luffe 37 1	5,9	TACI "0-4"	L
Ballad 2	5,9	TACI "3-9"	M
H-Båd 3	5,9	TACI "8-"	H
Banner 30 4	5,9	TACI
5	4,5	TAUD
6	9	TAUD
7	9	TAUD
8	9	TAUD
9	9	TAUD

Race time per nm
Luffe 37	Ballad	H-Båd	Banner 30
GPH	602,4	659,6	699,4	620,4
TCC	1,169	1,083	1,021	1,138
TACIL	734,6	823,6	887,2	754,2
TACIM	594,4	651	687,2	613,4
TACIH	542,6	581,6	616,4	556,8
TAUDL	960,4	1065,6	1172,2	992,6
TAUDM	750,4	810,6	870,2	776,8
TAUDH	673,6	705	768,8	698

Example
Selected boat	Ballad
Lane 1
Wind L

Theoretic difference in total racing time
H-båd	Banner 30	Luffe
L	6:15	-7:10	-9:14
M	3:33	-4:18	-6:26
H	3:25	-3:33	-4:9
[/pre]
Hope this is not too confusing...

Kind regards

Torben

Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with boat racing, but I'm afraid it's too confusing for me. I'm not sure if it the math formulas that you are wanting help with, or the overall laout, or something else. =(

Perhaps an uploaded workbook (see 2nd stickey) would be more helpful? Sorry if I'm just not awake enough to see the picture.

Hi, torben!

I agree with Luke M, a sample file will help people who read this to understand your goal.

Maybe it'd be assimilable to cars, trains, dogs, or anything, that might go within lanes and tied to certain rules of velocity, acceleration and other physics.

Regards!
