Hi folks, I'm needing some help. My son is trying to create an integer game in excel for his 6th grade class. We have the majority set up so that a random list of integers are created for students to add/subtract together.
Here's my problem:
Right now every time you type in your answer to...
Almost there. Each formula should have a block with a result somewhere in the 8-12 range for NHPPD. I'm thinking the multiplier (the *4 for the 4 hour block) should be higher to get the number there, but I don't know the justification for it. To see how the old way worked, in one of the cells...
OK, this has me confused. I have a formula I use at work to determine Nursing Hours Per Patient Day (NHPPD) which is basically the sum of employees *4 (a four hour block)/census (number of patients on the floor). This formula (i'll put below) if for the whole day.
=sum(B112:G112)*4/B115
Now...
OK, the higher ups want me to make some changes to a scheduling spreadsheet and I'm trying to figure out a way to to make it happen. here's the formula I'm working with:
=SUM(B254:G254)*4/B257
what this does is figure nursing hours per patient day (NHPPD). I'm taking the total number of...
OK, this is the scenario my boss wants, don't know if it would make the most visually informative chart, but here goes.
My service wants to chart the number of code blues and rapid responses by month in the hospital. That part is no problem. My boss wants to see the time taken from the onset...
Me again, and another question. I figured out a part of the problem, I'm able to extract the initials after "By:", but I get the #Value! error when cells don't meet the criteria. Is there a nesting function (IF function?) that I can put into the below formula that says to leave the cell blank...
I bow to your Excel Ninja skills! Worked like a champ. Was the blank portion of my formula the part that was throwing everything off? As a general rule, when dealing with blank cells, is it best to address that issue first in formulas?
Hopefully this has a simple solution. I'm an informatics nurse and am diving into excel to do a bunch of data mining, and this one formula isn't working for me. What I want to do is have a cell (this column tells me if meds were given early or late) look in another (has the time variance that...
