I need some help. I want any time that is over 6 hours to deduct a half hour for lunch and anything 6 hours or less to return just the time. I used this formula =(IF(G7>6,G7-0.5),IF(G7<=6,G7-0)) but it's not working. What am I doing wrong??? Thanks, Patrice

Oh, nevermind. That formula didn't work either. It should have said =vlookup(c4,G:I,3,0)so that it was searching on Harry. My formula above was searching by 3654.

When I use this formula: =VLOOKUP(B4,G:I,3,0) which is referring to the table that's on the same page, I get a value. When I use the formula above Use =VLOOKUP(B4,Sheet2!$B$5:$C$8,2,0), I don't get a value. The only thing I can think of is that in the =VLOOKUP(B4,G:I,3,0) formula I just took...

Hi Faseeh, How can the spacing be my problem when I'm actually copying the name "Harry" from table 1 into table 2? I've also done the "text to columns" to get rid of any additional spacing, but that didn't work. Ugh....

Hi shrivallabha, I made a mistake when I said A2 instead of b2 in my formula above. My formula still returns an N/A when the formula is done properly and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that "Harry" is text because when I search on "number 1" I get $35.20. Thanks, Patrice
