Hi Narayan,
Yes I should have explained this further:
I am calculation duration in hours and minutes (h:mm). So I may have a total duration of 160:00. Would like to convert it to working days, hours, minutes. Duration is 160:00, would like it to read 20:00:00.
I realize this is probably very easy but I'm stumped and can't figure it out. In excel, I have hours in a h:mm format. I can easily change formats to dd:h:mm , but can't figure out the best way to convert this to working days (8 hour) i.e. [wd:h:mm].
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi SirJB7!
Yes I couldn't agree more - I try to stay away from array formulas as well since they are always so sensitive to the variables. I just don't use SUMPRODUCT as much as I should so it always slips my mind until I come across Chandoo's excellent post. I need to just become more...
Thanks - this works. I wasn't thinking about using SUMPRODUCT vs COUNTIFS
BTW - Thanks SirJB7 as always. I spaced Ctrl-Shift-Enter. This obviously also works. Appreciate your quick feedback.
Sorry I had to look at the data I typed in the sample sheet to see what the correct answer should be!
Yes correct - in the example I sent the answer should be 3.
I'm trying to compare two dates in a Table to count the number of on time delivery of External requests. To accomplish this, my idea was to simply compare each record and count the number of times the Due Date > Date Sent. In theory, this should tell me if the deliverable was sent before the due...
1) On the Dashboard Page, I wanted a better way to draw attention to a Project Budget if the Project Budget had gone "over-budget". Therefore, I added Conditional Formatting to the Budget Number to Turn Red when the Money Spent was greater than the budgeted amount on the Project Details page...
SPI = EV/PV
I can calculate Earned Value (EV) easy enough by inserting a formula in the calculations worksheet of teh Detailed Project Portfolio Dashboard:
=SUMPRODUCT(G29:G48,$H29:$H48) [%Complete, Total Budgeted Cost]
I am stuck scratching my head trying to figure out how to calculate...
Hi Narayan:
Thank you for your reply. MS Project actually has a report you can generate to assist with EV, however this is a little different in this dashboard. But yes - the formula/calculations are still the same in the end. I may just go ahead and create a few other tables to calculate SPI...
Hi Narayan:
Ok I'm thinking about (2) things:
1) Obviously, SPI = Earned Value (EV) /Planned Value (PV) so that is the basic formula. I am assuming this should be easily calculated using the data contained within the dashboard. So I am looking to see if someone has already calculated SPI in...
This is the Detailed Project Portfolio Dashboard that is in the Excel Project Management Templates available on Chandoo.org. As you are aware this is a licensed product from Chandoo.Org, so it would not be in my best interest to publically share that file on here! A protected demo is available...
I am looking for any suggestions on a slight modification to the Detailed Project Portfolio dashboard. I am looking for a better way to report % Complete on a project as a way to measure Project Performance. What I would really like to be able to do is calculate Schedule Performance Index (SPI)...
