Thanks for this answer and sorry to be so ignorant but how do I locate which cells it is talking about in my open Excel sheet? This route tells me that there are worksheets that cannot be linked to but I am trying to establish in an multi-tabbed excel sheet exactly which cells have these links...

Good afternoon When I open an excel spreadsheet which had a link to another spreadsheet which has subsequently been moved I get a message to say the links cannot be updated. Is there a way of quickly locating which cells are affected? Hugh
