IF conditions

Hi All

I have data in 4 cells
A1 - 5 hours
A2 - 10 hours
A3 - 5 hours
A4 - 4 hours
----------------
total : 24 hours ( In A5 cell ) total sum ( A1- A4)
Need If conditions based on the below criteria.

Out of 24 hours :
from First 8 hours- Range only 8 hours ( number of hours * $25)
Rest of the hours ( 24 - 8 ) 16 hours ( 16 hours * $35)

I am not sure what you want , but can you not replace the references to A5 by the SUM formula , as in :

=MIN(8,SUM(A1:A4))*25 + MAX(0,SUM(A1:A4) - 8) * 35
