How to sort values after subtotal?

Hi,

When i am trying to sort the subtotaled data, excel prompts me to remove the subtotaling. Is there any way to sort the data after subtotaling. I am looking for macro to do the same.

In my data i need to sort the revenue in descending order. That means high revenue earning Parent company detail should be first.

Hi Sreekhosh,

You dont need a macro for doing it. In the sample file you have attached, you need to be in second level of grouping to sort it. Here is how you do it.

-> Go to second level which lists the total of parent company
-> Select the data from the headers till the last company in column A. (Dont include Grand Total)
-> Apply sort on Revenue the normal way

This should work for you.
