Can you apply conditional formatting to table data within a chart?

There are ways to apply conditional formatiing to a chart, such as a bar or line chart, but if there is an accompanying data table in the chart, is there way to apply conditional formatting to individual cells within the table?

Hi Robert,

In short, no. You might be able to paste a picture link of source cells, which could have CF applied, to create the illusion of a CF'ed data table.

IMO, data tables seem a little redundant...if my chart needs a data table to state the values, then usually I've made a bad chart.

Thanks for the quick reply Luke! I tried the "workaround" but it's not a valid longterm solution. I wanted to provide hard data in the chart but didn't want to make the chart (bar) part too busy which was the reason for the table below the bar chart.
