Did you know you can Calculate Pi by throwing Frozen Hotdogs !

Neither did I until recently.

But better than that is that you don’t need to go to the freezer to get the Hotdogs, you can do it all in Excel.

I recently wrote a post detailing how to develop a model to calculate Pi by simulating throwing hotdogs using Excel.

    The animation above shows dynamic charts for Pi Estimate, Variance from Pi, and Throw Status. However, in the Excel sheet these charts are not dynamically updated. The data of these three charts is shown at the end of the simulation.

    How can I create dynamic charts?

      That is a great pickup

      There has been a change in the Excel/VBA that isn't allowing a redraw of the chart between calculations.

      It definitely works up to Excel 2016, but isn't in 2019 or Excel 365

      I'll investigate and update if I find a solution
