Purna Duggirala - Your TeacherHi all, My name is Chandoo. Well, actually, my name is Purna Duggirala. But my friends and family members call me Chandoo. You too can call me that.

I will be teaching you Excel, VBA, Power Pivot for the next 6 months and answering your questions.

I live in Visakhapatnam, India. It is a small town in the south east cost of India. I run my own Excel Consulting & Training business from here.

I am married to my college sweet-heart, Jo. We have 2 kids – twins. They are 3 years old now. And very busy running, ruining and rampaging around the house.

My name is Chandoo. I am going to make you awesome in Excel, VBA, Dashboards, Power BI & Power Pivot and answering your questions. I live in Wellington, New Zealand. It is a beautiful, small city on the southern edge of the world. I run my own Excel Consulting & Training business from here. I am married to my college sweet-heart, Jo. We have 2 kids – twins.     This is Krishna Kumar. I have a PhD in Engineering; working in software for quite a few years in financial domain. I have been using Excel for a long time. I have an idea of Macros and VBA, used very occasionally in the past. I want to “become awesome in Excel + VBA + Dashboards” in a hurry, I believe I am at the right place!!! Thank you.

    My name is Siraj. I have 12+ years experience in IT and currently working as a Project Manager in a Tier 1 IT services organization in Bangalore, India. Four years ago, Chandoo saved me from embarrassment, when I was struggling to create some presentable charts and dashboards for Senior Management. I have been his fan since then. I am confident, Chandoo will make me awesome in VBA and take me out of the rut of ‘doing repetitive tasks manually’.

  4. Hello, I am Dick van der Winden and retired. I had my own company with 25 staff members in automotive parts. Do my company I used Excel a lot too get an insight in the daily progress of the company. Now I am guiding small companies and managers to expand their business. I am a grandfather of 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter that also consumes a lot of happy times from me. Beside I like cycling but that is normal for a Dutchmen. Fort that was the reason I enrolled the online course I can do it in my free time.

I picture you a hard-working person (even in retirement) and an out-going businessman (who is also a proud grandfather) and who is also eager to learn new things (such as the details of Excel) that will help you as you guide companies and managers expand their businesses.

  18. Hello everyone,

    I am taking the PBI course and have question about getting data from Azure Data Lake. For one of my project I am getting the data from Azure Data Lake to Power BI to create the visualization. I am able to get the data but when I reviewed the columns – a few of the row mixed up. for e.g. some of the rows in the name column has data from diagnosis column and vice versa. When I checked the source database (electronic health records) everything seems correct. I wanted to know where the issue is – Is the issue related to when the files/query were set up by the Database person/IT or it something on the Power BI end. I am an analyst and have not setup the Azure data lake and electronic health record database. But I am trying to see where the issue is – On the database/and Azure data lake setup side or on PBI side.

    Although, I can clean the data in Power Query but if the issue is on the Database set up side it will remain the same problem when I refresh the data. I am plan to refresh the data on a daily basis so accuracy is important.

  19. Hello everyone!! My name is Steve and I have been an Excel user for many years. Problem is, I have never been much of a power user and have only scratched the surface of what Excel can do. I am retired but have seasonal business where I portray Santa primarily during November and December. I use Excel in my business and hope to lean how to utilize the advanced feature to do some advanced analytics. I have already learned a couple of new things from the very first video. Can’t wait to dig in deeper.

  20. Hi, I signed up for VBA class 15 days back. Now I am comfortable with VBA and SQL basics. But my task is not yet complete. I have a large datasets to make multiple reports using these data. This is making Excel to run slow and consume lot of time. Is there anyway to automate this? I am thinking to store these data in MS access database and then make the report. But how can I do this? From where to learn these access quires to perform calculation.

    I live in northern Virginia, US. With COVID-19 keeping us at home, I wanted to take advantage of reduced commute time and reduced extra-curricular opportunities to take this class. I’m a heavy user of Excel with IT Portfolio and Financial management and have done some dashboards, but Chandoo’s definitely outshine mine, so I’m very much interested in getting to that next level (awesome).

    I’m Julius, 37 years old, born and raised in the Netherlands. I’m married and father of a 6 year old girl.
    In 1997 I was struck by a haemmorage. Since that year I had to live with a bad memory and with a limped side. Also my speech is affected.

    The company I work for is an electricityfirm. When my boss said I could do some sort of education I immediadly thought of Excel (what else!).
    I have had a few Excelcourses (Advanced and Expert) but I wanted to learn more. I searched on the internet and I found this site.

    I’m eager to know what new tricks I can learn here.
