When is the next lesson for Power Pivot?
thx
Michael
Hi Chandoo,
I am using Excel 2011 in Mac OS. I am able to build pivot table but I am not sure if the functionality is as complete as the versions in Windows. Incidentally, I have Excel 2013 but it does not come with Power Pivot.
Thanks
Serene
@Serene… you need Excel 2010 or Excel 2013 Pro Plus on a windows machine to use Power Pivot add-in.
While using the downloaded file, I am getting the following error message:
You are attempting to access PowerPivot data that was added using a newer version of PowerPivot. This action is not supported, and you cannot access the data. To continue working with the PowerPivot data, you must use the latest version of PowerPivot.
@Sharon,
Please check the post at http://chandoo.org/learn/powerpivot-lessons/#comment-170 for the answer. It might help.
Ahhh.. My blood pressure is going down! Thanks Chandoo.. you are presenting this in ‘episodes’ almost as a ‘cliff hanger’ on a television program, making you want to tune in next week to see how the hero came out.
Kidding aside, good presentation and you keep it manageable and easy to follow. Looking forward to the next module.
Thanks George… I am glad you are enjoying the lessons. See you next week
Great Lesson, I enjoyed Learning ! Simply Awesome

Explain atleast with 5 to 10 points about these comparison.
& Why Excel user switch to using Power Pivot ?
Thank You
When is the advantage of inserting Pivot table on Power Pivot window over Excel regular sheet?
Can we insert the pivot table to Power Pivot Workbook? Because when I insert the pivot table, the pivot table is getting placed in original workbook where source data is.
Thanks
Hello Chandoo,

Hi Chandoo,
I cannot get access to some of the modules in Power Pivot and Advanced Power Pivot in particular the downloadable materials.
My log in access expires today but I have not been able to make use of the above videos.
Kindly check my account if there are any issues.
Hi Chandoo
In excel 2013 I don’t have the PowerPivot Filed List, only normal Pivot Table Filed List.
What is necessary to do ?
Thanks
Hi Chandoo,
Just a minor FYI…the link for the video works fine, but hyperlinked text says, “Installing Power Pivot – MP4 file.”….I think you meant to label it something like “Power Pivot Ribbon Overview – MP4 file.”
In the meantime….keep up the good work!
Something is wrong… I can’t find any link to download / play the video for number of topics under Power Pivot Installation & Setup

Hi
I just realized after referring few lesson of powerpivot that my excel 2013 not getting effect of powerpivot at all.
I use excel 2013 (office professional plus 2013)
I create powerpivot by clicking on pivot table in powerpivot data sheet view. Then I check in my original excel that I have Pivot table in excel not powerpivot.
Means I can not see option of slicer vertical and slicer horizontal.
I have already installed power pivot by COM Add In ( Microsoft office powerpivot for excel 2013 and power view , both of them checked)
