  1. Hello!
Great course so far! Very much looking forward to completing it. I have been following your “teachings” for several years, creating relatively advanced excel sheets for data analysis and dashboard displays.

Question: I have been evaluating Power BI along side Tableau… one thing that Tableau does that is very useful is stacked filterning when clicking on elements of a chart. For example, if I have 4 charts showing different parameters, by selecting an element on chart 1, it cascades into chart 2, 3 and 4. If select an element in chart 2, it further refines the analysis etc… each chart acts like a filter.
When I do this in Power BI, I can “filter” by selecting an element in a chart, but when I select an element in another chart, the first one reverts back to the original state.

Do you know if this can be done in Power BI?

Thanx very much for your help and insight.

  8. I recently joined Excel school, about a month before you announced Excel school 2.0.

Your emails say that I would get a free upgrade to Excel School 2.0. How do I do that? I cannot currently access any of the Excel school 2.0 lesson videos.

  9. Hi Admin/Chandoo,

I’ve purchased both 50 ways to analyse data & Dashboards last December, but cannot access dashboards. My membership details also do not show dashboards as a part of my subscription. Please cross-check your records and enable my access accordingly.

    Thanks,
    Timothy

  10. Hello,

I had a VBA subscription until September 7th…
I forgot about the expiry date and did not get to download but 15 lessons.
I would really appreciate if you could you give me a week more so I can download the rest?

    Thanks a lot,

    Adrian

  11. I wanted to reach out as I feel that I have enrolled in the wrong course – Power BI Play Date.

What I really need is a course which covers topics such as: Power Pivots, Power Query, Dashboards, Cube formulas, Advanced charting.

At my workplace we do not have access to Power Bi and hence we do everything using Power Pivots, Power Queries and regular excel.

Please let me know if you can transfer me to the right course?

  12. Hi everyone, is there anyway to extract data including headers on excel from MS access database using vba and SQl. I am using “SELECT * FROM table1” but this will not return the header. Is there anyway to get this? Thank you.

  13. I’m taking the Excel, dashboard and VBA course.
Currently, I’m working on the VBA introduction, 2nd module. However, the video is not available. There is a transcript, but I prefer the video–can you tell me how I can get a download of the video please?

    1. @RODERICK ,
Due to some technical issues, some of the videos are not displaying on the screen.
You can Download the video from the bottom of the page and watch at leisure

  14. hI;How do we ask a question if something is not clear? I’m on the Cleaning data video and on the Null part. I did the control f and find all. When I select the top one and scroll down to bottom one and shift all are highlighted. Then in the video you X out of the find box and all the NULL on the list are highlighted. Mine don’t stay highlighted. Did I miss a step?

  15. On my List of Courses I have Excel School 2.0 and Excel School 2.0 Dashboards.
The lesson plan for Excel School 2.0 is identical to the Dashboard Lesson Plan, that is, Modules 0-6, with Module 6 being Excel Dashboards.

    Is this right?
I assumed that Excel School 2.0 would have a totally different Lesson Plan.

    Many thanks
    Ian
