Waterfall Chart: Which waterfall chart is better?

Not sure if such posts are allowed but I was in the process of creating a waterfall chart and after creating my own (1), stumbled across a post here and created one based on that (2).

I'd like to know which is better?

Perfectly allowed. This is one of the few posts I've seen that actually legitimately used the survey function.

Assuming that the data point on last column in #2 got labelled wrong, I'll go with #1. Although it's a pretty close call...I just feel that #1 causes my eyes to have not to travel as far to compare points.

Yes it was labelled wrong. Good catch .

My comments are that it is typical to put the waterfall values inside the boxes
With the absolute values on top where your numbers are
This way you don't need to refer to the Y Axis
