the person who created file has left the company, before he left didn't share the password with anyone, now i need to do some changes. and i not able to insert new sheet too, that is the problem.

Cannot You ask it from the person?

Now, You're asking to insert new sheet
... but You've asked how to able to do something with sheet which is already in that file.
Those are different cases.

I didn't know this forum provided help for breaking passwords ?
The other forums I work on certainly don't :(

I had the same problem somewere in 2015, post your file and I can see what I can do, no promices.

Shouldn't it already be common sense to understand that breaking password is not right?
Why have you still in the above topics, like The vault or whatever solutions for these questions?

For me, this almost goes to same category like those over 2500 IPs, which I've blocked - because someone has written spam.
... for spams, there are written rules.
