sum multiple cells of a fiscal year

hello there- I have last 10 years of Fiscal year data ( goes from Apr to Mar). Attached is example from 2 years.
I want to create a summary of values by fiscal year. On way is to use sum function and select the cells. But since there is 10 years of data , it is cumbersome

Can anyone please help me if I can write a formula where in if I change the fiscal year in cell B8 or B9, the sum of the value gets updated ?

Try the SUMIF function =SUMIF($B$1:$Y$1,$B8,$B$3:$Y$3) and pull down
