structured numbering 1.0, 1.1, 1.2..... 1.10,1.11

Hi,

i'd like to know if it is possible to automatically structure my row numbering. It would also be helpful if this would auto update when i add or delete rows down the page. Right now i can use the numbering function but it is semi auto. it will not update when i add and delete and it will not continue from 1.9 to 1.10, it jumps to 2.0 which is very frustrating.

any help provided would be a wonderful.

Thanks Rahulshewale1 - I've tried it and it only part works. It will not auto update when i delete or add rows.

When you add new rows just copy formula down

Still the same as before i'm afraid. When i copy down it populates which is great. but when i add or delete rows it will not recalculate. Very Strange.

If You use that formula with a table then it would work without 'copy down'.
... but Your original hope was with 'Macro'

Which column?
Do that column has something else?
If really always 1. something - then could You show sheets rownumbers - instead add almost same numbers there?
An Excel sample file, which has samples of all details, which You effect with those numbers.
