Spread value by month using only Month as column header

I know how to spread a value over months. The problem is the spreadsheet only has the month at the month at the top of the column. My boss does not want to use the year at all. So, you have start date, end date and value. How do I divide the value by the number of days in the month when only the month is the column reference?

I'd suggest you upload sample workbook with sanitized data. Including manually created expected output. Without it, we can't really help you.

Still do the distribution based on the column headers
But make sure the column headers are proper dates
Eg 1/12/2017
The format the headers as Mmm or mmmm

Use custom formatting, right click on the cell and click on Format Cells, then select custom and type MMM or MMMM, etc.

Attached is an example using MMM format.
