Rupee separator in excel

Hi Gurus

Greetings

I am using excel in which when I enter the rupee value it is not seperated with lac indicator.
Pl find below screen shot , kindly guide me which setting should be changed ?
The one below 2024 >> 245,400 which should be like 2,45,400.

Hello,

I'm not at all familiar with rupee, but it seems you have the correct format in your screenshot (4,90,800.00)? You can copy and paste the format.
For what it is worth, I managed to define a custom format like below.

I am not getting the lac indicator in sense instead of 2,45,000/- I am getting like 245,000
like to know why excel is getting defaulted like that

But why is not coming by default , manually formatting need to be done ? I am facing this in my personal laptop only.

in india mean 100,000 means lakh or lac, they are different as they 1,00,000

yes it is the same like my office laptop in which I am getting the value correctly
