Round money

Hi,
I have played around and failed got frustrated and deleted a sheet. for rounding amounts of money. What I would like to do is:

If the sum is XX then
1. Below $2.50, no rounding occurs;
2. Between $2.50 and $99.99, rounding occurs to nearest five cents;
3. Between $100 and $499.99, rounding occurs to the nearest ten cents;
4. $500 and over, rounding occurs to the nearest one dollar.


Thanks in advance for any ideas on stress relief or, preferably, a formula.
