Properly align chart to background picture

Hi,


I am trying to properly align an embedded XY Scatter chart in a sheet, to a background picture, but the chart plotarea does not coincide with the picture. It keeps on shifting. I have tried Dick Kuslieska's example to pin the chart and picture edges to worksheet cells, but it does not seem to work for the chartarea, or plot area.


what is the correct method to align a XYScatter chart to a background picture?
 
Not sure either how (or if) there's an easy way to align the plot area to cells. my immediate thought, though, was why not just change the chart background to whatever your picture is (or a cropped version)?

I have already tried that option, but it does not seem to align the x & y axis to the vertical and horizontal edges of the picture.


If you want, i can post a sample for you to see the code.
