PivotTable data range

Hi,

I have created a pivot table based on some data. The problem is that every time I update data, I am required to delete the entire data (Actually not simple delete but need to remove entire rows which have data)first and then paste the new data then I refresh the pivot. Now problem comes, since all data rows were deleted, pivot data range is disturbed so I am required to manually correct the data range.

I don't want to update pivot data range manually everytime. I tried to create a Named Range and assign it to pivot by using "Change Data Source" option in the ribbon but receiving an error.

Is there any way to fix it? Kindly suggest.

Thanks

DJ

Hi DJ,

I suggest you to format your data as "Table", once you do it, you just need to refresh the Pivot Table and it will accommodate new entries as well.
