Pivot Table

I have a spreadsheet of data and one of the columns on that spreadsheet is the month. I enter the month data as January, February...etc. so I just do the month name. I do this so when I create my pivot table, I can look for data for that particular month. When I drag the month over to the pivot table, it lists two Octobers and two Novembers. Then I have to look at both months on the pivot table instead of that one month that I have to get the data. Does that make sense? Does anyone know why the pivot table list two entries of the same month?

Thanks for your help.

Pivot tables are both case sensitive and also check for spaces at the beginning and end of the words "January " is different to "January" and " January"
