Pivot Charts and custom y axis

Ok, I am not sure that this can even be done, but never the less, the company that I am currently contracting through wants me to do it. I will try to explain... not sure that I can. I have two pivot charts. One is placed on top of the other. The reason being is... one gives the user options to select the data that is being displayed on the chart, the other does not, it only shows the value for all selections. The chart that allows the selection does not have a Y axis, They want me to vba code the chart that allows selections to adjust the column sized based upon the y axis of the chart that does not allow you to make the selection. The selections are made from a user form that I created. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so, were you able to do it.
