One of the formulas contains one or more invalid references

Hello to all,

I have a workbook that I have plugged in several sheets. When I want to save it, I can't. it gives a message:"A formula in worksheet contains one or more invalid references"

How can I find the source of this error?

I had to save the workbook as 95-2003 workbook, What is the solution? How can I trap the error?

This is urgent request. I need to fix it tomorrow.

I appreciate your help.

Have alook at :

Named Ranges, Links, Hyperlinks & Charts

That could have a connection to another workbook that is no longer valid

You can email me the file if you want?

Hui, I have three sheets and I copy and paste the new data to these three sheets every week.

It was working perfect till one week ago. However, this past week it was giving me a message box, saying the message: " A formula in the worksheet..."

Unfortunately, I can't send the file out. That is one of the biggest problems I have with my work.

I have a bunch of charts, these charts pick up the value from a different sheets in the same workbook. When I look into formulas that the charts pick up, the formulas seem all good and I don't know what the message is popping up. I will look into it and get back to you.

Have a look for #REF! errors, they are looking for a cell, sheet or workbook that no longer exists, you'll need to fix them manually.

Look for cells with an error message in them

Goto Formulas, Error Check and Trace error

follow the red error arrows back to the source and fix

Look in the Named Formulas for errors, especially links to other worksheets

However, I suspect this is probably a chart error.

Select each chart, 1 at a time

Rioght Click

Select Data

Select each series 1 at a time

Edit

click in the X and Y Values boxes and Tab to the next box

if there ok, you'll be allowed to Tab

otherwise you'll get an error

Fix the broken range or delete the chart and remake if required.

Hui,

When I created the charts this week, the problem was gone, but I have printed your instruction in case it comes back, I will apply it.

Thank you so very much.
