Hi there everyone.
I track multiple Adwords accounts and look at data on a daily/weekly/monthly level. So I am always looking for interesting ways of simplifying what I'm looking it, but still getting the best possible results. But usually simplifying means doing a few complicated things first
One thing I am pondering something at the moment and would like some input.
If I'm looking at data on a weekly breakdown. See the sample set of data here, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AoOkbv7dDXPsdG1ZOFp6UHN2NDdjOHBwcWNYbDl1aXc&usp=sharing
What I would like to do is create a Value metric for each week. So in a week the values will be compared with the other values and points will be assigned to that week. This way I can get an overview of a week taking into account all the key metrics in one figure.
As in the sample data I have attached notes to the values with the corresponding values. The week with the lowest number of clicks will get 1 point, and every higher value will get 1 more. The number of points is dependant on the number of weeks. This adds more weight to the values.
How would I go about getting this process automated? Massively long formulas that will give me a headache or should I set up an additional table which tracks the figures and allocates points based on the results?
Hope this all makes sense.
*UPDATE*
Looks like I'm on the right track using the RANK formula
