MATCH funtion returns #NA while VLOOKUP returns correct value.

Hello,


My problem is I am trying to use the MATCH function, but it is returning #NA.


I tried the VLOOKUP function with the exact same lookup value and array and it returns the proper value.


Does the VLOOKUP use/accept different data types than MATCH? That is the only possible explanation I can think of.


Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Are you using Match with the correct Lookup Type, 1, 0 or -1 at the end ?

Refer the excel help for details


Can you post the 2 formulas and the data you are looking up?
