Macro to change case of texts to proper, except for prepositions

Hello Excel gurus,


I need help with a macro that can format a string of texts to proper case, except for all the prepositions in that string. Examples of prepositions include a, an, and, above, with, the, etc.


Your help would be very much appreciated.

Proper case is more often called Title case , since all the words are with an uppercase initial letter , including prepositions.


Do you want exactly what you have posted i.e. excluding prepositions all other words have their initial letters capitalized ? If so , then you will have to give a complete list of all prepositions ; just examples will not do , since every preposition will have to be checked within the code.


If you want what is called sentence case , where only the first word has its initial letter capitalized , then the following link may help :
