Locking cell using VBA once data from drop-down list is selected

I am looking for help with locking individual cells based on a drop-down selection.
Current sheet has "G9" unlocked. All other cells are locked and sheet is password protected. "G9" has a drop down with the option of various months.

What i would like to have happen is once a particular month is selected then the "G9" cell should be locked and the user should not be able to make changes. In other words, I want to lock the cell once data is selected from the drop-down list.

I hope i have provided all the needed details and appreciate any help.

You should send a sample Excel-file, which has all features which You're using with Your normal used file.
Based Your now given details, there are too many challenges to offer any code.

Your sample file missed some features which You named...
Ps. As well as ... how to able to do other selection?
