Is it possible to display the x-y coordinate while mouse hover over the CHART area

OR atleat is it possible to display the x-y coordinate after clicking the chart even in NON-PLOTTED area i.e all over the chart area.

Ultimate aim is to display the x-y coordinate as per the scale

Note that the Scale is a log-log scale and the Chart type is X-Y Scatter type

I am verymuch thankfull if anybody provides the solution to the above query

Thanks&Regards

The quick answer is Yes

Brian Murphy at xlRotor http://www.xlrotor.com/excel_stuff.htm

Has a utility Chartool at the above site

If you download and add the Chartool addin in to Excel

It will add an Addin Toolbar to Excel (enable macros)

One of the Buttons on the toolbar is TurnOnMouseCursor

Select a Scatter Chart

Click the TurnOnMouseCursor

As you move the mouse accross the chart the Real X & Y coordinates will display in the Status Bar (lower left corner)

Note it only works with Scatter charts.

I have never ran this with 2007, but it runs well with 2003 and 2010.
