The NY Times interactive jobless rate for you chart (link above) is pretty cool... It shows a bunch of blurred lines and once you make a selection, the corresponding job loss rate is highlighted. For eg. you can select "White / Male / 25-44 / High school grad" and it shows the job less rate for that group in the last year or so.
