XL2BB has nothing to do with Xenforo, it was created specifically for the MrExcel site by one of the Admin team & there is a lot of stuff going on in the background to make it work.
Therefore it's not a simple matter of changing a setting somewhere.

I use ForumTools, but sadly, the download page is no longer available. I've contacted its author - I will report back if I find out if it's still available somewhere.
