# I have a countif question

Hi I have one horizontal countif ... =COUNTIF(D6:Z6,"*") bringing back a count and I want to capture the resulting cell return that is greater than 0 in a vertical countif - I have used =COUNTIF(C6:C96,">0") but it keeps coming back with 0.
This does not seem to want to work on Excel 2016 desktop app

try this format COUNTIFS(C2:C1500,">=0:01:01",C2:C1500,"<=0:05:00")

Perhaps post a sample sheet with some data and expected results?

I see no reason why your formula should have failed. Perhaps an alternative might be
= SUM(SIGN(matches))
where 'matches' is refers to
=C6:C96
