Hyperlink Character Length Limitation

Hi,

We have a shared network folder and many users have created nesting folders in them as per their requirement. When we try to put a hyperlink in a excel file, it does not work for few deeply nested folders since the total character length in the hyperlink crosses 256.
Is there a way out (solution within excel only, please)

You could try using the HYPERLINK function rather than an embedded hyperlink. IMO, the former is preferred as it's easier to audit my links, and if the Excel file location changes the function won't get messed up. The character limit within a cell is also larger than 256 characters.
