How to open excel online file hyperlink when clicked into edge browser automatically

Hello All

I have a sharepoint server with office online server, i have some excelsheets with links to local network folders and files, when opening this sheet online (inside edge browser) and when i click on the file hyperlink it wont to anything, while when i copy the link address and paste it into edge explorer it directly opens file or folder inside edge browser, my question is how to enable this click on the link to open automatically in edge browser wihtout the need to copy and paste the link into edge browser.

Just open Settings > Apps > Default Apps. Here, click on Choose default by link type, which will open a separate Settings page. Now, scroll down to find HTTP and HTTPS, and select the browser you want to open Excel hyperlinks in.
