Hi All,

I want to play a financial quiz with a class where i teach.

say there are 10 questions in the quiz and the correct answer to each question will be the password to the next one.question 1 will be open question

all the questions are based on Financial Functions on spreadsheets only and once the 1st is answered correctly, there will be an access to the next one.

please do guide

Hi Deepak,

Can you clarify, if one of your friends answers Q1 wrong, can they change their choice, or do you want the quiz to end for them ? You only get to see each consecutive question if you answered everything before it correctly?

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Suppose i send them all the 5 questions in a single excel file all at one go

the 1st question in on Sheet 1

say the question is to calculate the rate of return of the investment and they input that answer in a designated cell and that answer becomes the password for the next question which is in sheet 2, so on and so forth.

so if they get it wrong they will not able able to go to the next sheet

would it be possible for you to share on how you did it i.e. is it a Macro that you wrote

and if the participants now that answer to the next question is the question number then they can move to the next question, without getting this correct.

so the idea was the answer to the question becomes the password to the next one. (is that possible)

It's still a sample.
There are few macros which makes it work.
You can see those.

Yes, just in this sample
a) there are 'sample questions' - okay?
b) there are 'sample answers' - okay?
Those questions are in own sheet (inits).
Of course,
You should 'modify' those 'sample questions' as needed as well
those 'sample correct answers' - okay?
(I couldn't know Your questions and answers.)

It need to write 'correct answer' to get next question and so on ...

anyway, to get next question it needs to write correct answer
and that 'correct answer' have to be SAME.
Same means SAME, ex 1 is different than one.

As this is still sample, this needs some modifications!
ex some settings and protection.

ps. You can see that 'inits' then You'll accept to show sheet tabs.
... and do no modify layout of that sheet!
