How to find the first occurrence in of a customer in a table

I have a sales by customer table. For new customers when the total sales > a certain $ amount, the sales person gets a commission. In a range this formula is easy using Countifs, but how do you do this in a table? Essentially I am counting the sales by customer and when it passes the threshold the bonus is calculated.

Hi Markw,

Please do read the forum rules (link provided in my signature).
Would this contain a hint on how to accomplish it?

Thanks that was a great help. I do need to find out how to enter locked reference in Structured references easier.

Regards
Mark

Glad I could help.
There is no easy like F4 key solution for structured references. You need to know the syntax. Using the intellisense does help me writing them.
