How to copy formula in Sheet

Pl provide any hack to sum (in Sheet 1) for Ranges in Sheet 2, Sheet 3 etc without using the formula =sum(Sheet!, Range). Eg I need sum of values in Sheet 2! from D6:D17(Any range) in Cell(Say A1) in Sheet 1; Sum of values in Sheet 3! from D6:D17 in Cell (Say A2) in Sheet 1. and so on.

=SUM(INDIRECT("'" & C7 & "'!D6:D17"))

copy down.
