How remove repeatation?

I have sheet in which there are Employees name in column A.These name are repeated in sheet according they received salary.My Question is that i want to find out how many employew working in firm. How can i remove these repeated employee name and i get unique employee name?
 
Chandoo has several articles on finding duplicates

Just type Duplicate into the Google Search box at the top and have a browse
