How do I refresh excel calculations without opening excel

I am loading information in Excel from Alteryx. However, I have noticed that the Excel moves to Manual mode and does not Refresh linked computations. Is there a way I can refresh Excel without opening it i.e. through command prompt or any other method (non-VBA preferred)?
 
Moving to manual mode is not something that happens "automatically". Either it is programmed, or some-one using the file is changing it manually.
