I want to increase an expense only at the end of the 4th quarter. My years are columns and have q1 , q2, q3, q4 for ten years. how do i do that?
I was thinking using the mod function but not able to figure it out. any quick help will be truly appreciated. thank you

Attached is the sample file. I want one formula such that the increase in amount is every 4th quarter for all years. thank you

Here's a solution using MOD() as you had requested. As usual with Excel there are numerous acceptable solutions, and this works; however, I think there are simpler methods, but a little formula elegance periodically is good for an analyst ;)
