How can I stop editing the data but can change the interior color

Hi,

Is there any possibility to change the cell color keeping the cell data protected mode?

I need to change the cell color only not the cell's data.

Color can be anything. Please note that I dont want to let others to edit cell's data. However I can change the cell color.

The reason why I am saying that color can be anything is - its depends on user requirement to relate the legends type to its unique color type. In nutshell- if the data is recognized with high priority then it should be red or can be change to any other color depends on its own needs.

User should not change the data. This is the main priority.

Now, coming to your #2 Reply - I am not trying to change the cell color according to data. I dont want to imply Conditional logic here.

I, simply want to protect cell data only, keeping the other options open.

Yes - file with one row.
You would fill there much more data to show Your nutshell:
In nutshell- if the data is recognized with high priority then it should be red or can be change to any other color depends on its own needs.
... or test this possible.
