Hex2Dec question

I'm stuck with a problem on hex2dec function.


I tried in vain on getting the source code of hex2dec(?)=11299. when I use 29ff it comes out as 10751 which is less than 11299. But when I tried 3000 it came out 12288 which is too big. How should I resolve the driver to get to 11299 using the function?

=DEC2HEX(11299) gives 2C23


By the way, 1 more than 29ff isn't 3000 it is 2a00

So the reverse of Hex2Dec is Dec2hex! now i see it.
