help with complicated countif for displaying numbers on charts

I have a chart on the Sheet2 - cell 04.

This cells will be populated when a user select a new testing scenario number.

In the meantme it is blank.

When I do a vlookup to show the number of test cases agaist this cell, it should be 0 since there is no test scenario and therefor no test cases.

The countif, shows a huge number since it is adding all th blank cellls in the column of the test scenario, - it should show 0 until a test scenario is selected

Please can someone help me fix.

You should able to continue there to give more details / information that others would give replies.
Try to avoid to duplicate thread ...
