Hello Guys,

I am making an excel file where, I want to retrieve a cell value from another cell next to that particular date.

So I have a exchange rate table with 2 columns, where in Column1 I have dates and in Column2 I have currency exchange rate for that particular rate. Lets say I have this data for 6 months.

In another column, I want to fetch that exchange rate value only for a particular date. Kindly look at image attached. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,
Rahul.

=index(TRY Value range , match( cell with date , Date range in table , 0 ))

should do that for you - not sure of the columns or rows you have the tables in or if a different sheet

example attached

Hello ETAF,

Appreciated your quick response. I did not get you, I am a complete newbie in Excel. Could you please elaborate more or make changes in workbook I have uploaded now and then share here.
I have attached the workbook for your reference.

And the exchange rate data (table on left) is on same sheet of workbook.

Regards.
