Formula to return current date without updating it when other cells get updated

Sir, Please I need a formula whereby if Cell C4<>"", the date Cell F4 received the input should be displayed.
When any info is in C, the date it was recorded should be in its corresponding cell in F.
If I type a date in Cell c4, todays date should be in Cell f4.
When i type a date in c5 tomorrow, tomorrow's date should be in f5.
The day an input is made in a particular cell, only that particular cell should be updated

I use Microsoft Professional Plus 2016, not 365.
Thank You.

Sir, the formula over there works differently; Because when the receiving cell receives input, all the other cells in the other column get updated automatically (now ()), instead of updating just one particular cell in that column.
Thank you, it works correctly. Sorry for my error
