Format of worksheet names

I am new the forum having just joined. I was wondering whether there is/are specific rules to follow when giving names to work sheets. For example could name have spaces, such as furniture furnishing, or is furniture & furnishing alright.
 
Excel will automatically put a pair of ' around Sheet names with spaces

eg: ='Sheet 1'!A1 + Sheet1!A1

So you can do whatever you want

Personally, I try and minimise the use of spaces, it keeps formulas neater
