Find Visible Years in a Table

Hello,
Attached is a simple table. It holds data for 2014-2020. I want to capture the selected years in a separate cell outside the table for use as a criterion. I've tried the UNIQUE function, but it returns all years, no matter what is selected in the table. What's a good solution?

=UNIQUE(FILTER(C4:C52,SUBTOTAL(3,OFFSET(C4,ROW(C4:C52)-ROW(C4),,1))))
