File rename from a folder and update the status in a column

I need a vba code to change the lists of file names in a folder and update the status as complete as an when the file is renamed.

sorry for not being descriptive.
In column A i have the old file names which are placed in a folder
In column B i have the new file names for which the files are to be renamed
In column C i would need a status column mark as completed as and when the file names are renamed

Need the status to be updated against each of the file line items. Hope this would suffice for your understanding
