Extract data from multiple workbooks in a folder

Hi

I found a macro on the net, please find attached. It is quite complicated to understand. However it works fine but would like to make a few tweaks. It currently pastes data in a new workbook from cell A1. It would be great if someone can help make a few tweaks:

1) Have it paste all the data 3 rows down i.e. from row A3, so there is a gap .

2) When all the data has been pasted i want it to copy the table headings from my current sheet (which has the macro/button) from A1. Hence the the tweak no. 1 above. So a code where i can set the range of cells to be copied.

3) For learning purposes, if the macro can be further annotated to better understand what the codes are doing and what can be changed if further changes are required to better suit you needs would be very helful.

Thanks in advance!

Serena

Hi Serena,
Few questions :
1) Do you want to compile all data from different workbook to one ?
---> If yes, than do you want to paste data on a blank cell after active cell ?
2) Do you want to compile data from different folders to one ?
