Hi,

Is there any way to run a excel macro without opening a file?

I want to run a excel macro based on system date, when cell A1 is equal to system date then macro should run automatically without opening a file.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Which would check that A1 = date?
Of course, You could run a macro from different file to check if A1 = date in that file ... but ... hmm?
which macro should run then?
You should upload clear sample files and write exact what do You really try to do.

Hi !
Is there any way to run a excel macro without opening a file?
No as the workbook must be 'opened' (whatever the way) in order to read the cell A1 value ‼
As here it's the Excel section, next time create your thread in the appropriate VBA section …

#1 : So your link is within another workbook but as the initial question is 'without opening a file' …
Like I want my car out of the garage without opening the garage door !
So better is to hope for a crystal clear explanation from Pinang …

#1 we have many files and we can run many macros from other files without...
#1.5 ... so You are only allowed user of Your car ;)
